Add it all up and the Sabres have scored zero powerplay goals on 20 opportunities in their four losses.

If only there were a powerplay specialist under contract with the Sabres who they could call up. A guy who puts the puck in the net.

We all know it to be true: it's time to unshackle the Olofsson.

I know you touched on it Pach, but they should have flown him out at 6 am for practice today

I thought they battled well through the first two periods, with Hutton leading the way, but too many mistakes, missed opportunities and no luck did them in...early third period goal was a back-breaker

yeah, would be interesting...a simple move would be to put dahlin on the right point, which is what I think they should do

EVERYBODY LAUGHED ™ when I said the sabres should try an umbrella powerplay with Eichel and Dahlin on their offwings, Risto at the top, Mittelstadt in the middle (heh) and Reinhart down low

I’m upset I was so happy about the bylsma and housley signings when they happened.

Neither worked for us, but I’m not sure what the coaching market is like now or what exactly we need. It just seems like the same things keep happening no matter the combination of players on the ice

Passing still seems to be a big issue with this team... if that first pass out of the zone is not on the tape it screws everything else up..

I liked the push back after the 2-0 start. But they're committing the same mistakes repetitively which is the frustrating part.

Defensive zone assignments getting missed left and right, bad passing in the d zone and an awful powerplay that can't even get set up half the time.

Something has to give or we will be a dumpster fire again. I think we come out flying vs LA tomorrow.

Passing is horrible and they play a very passive style of Hockey...

1) Housely wants to run systems that just aren't going to work with this group. He seems stuck in his ways and still thinks he's coaching a potential conference champion.

2) They just aren't tough mentally or physically. Plays are breaking down and we're starting to spend way too much time in our end like in previous years. Only a matter of time before this psychologically affects Hutton and he checks out.

I have no idea how you can go from the best PP to the worst PP.

This is a indicator of a lack of coaching talent and a refusal to make adjustments

I kinda assume the latter was because of the former. You could draw up the greatest gameplan of all time, if your players can't execute, what's the point?

"Jack Eichel can create a lot of space and handle the puck extremely well but in last night's contest he was double-teamed constantly and didn't receive much help from the rest of his unit."

I think teams know that as long as they keep Eichel in check that there's no one else that's really a threat.

Passive in the D-zone. they sit back and wait instead of pressuring and forcing errors.. Its the bend don't break mentality.. Every time we got the puck last night there was a San Jose player in our face pressuring us. We just don't do that...
